Privacy

COSMILLION is a daily word game. You can play without an account or sign-up; you only need an account if you buy All Access. We record how the game is played so we can make it better, and we never sell that data.

What we record

Gameplay. When you start and finish a launch, your score, which mode you played, and the answers you type, including the ones the board did not accept. Rejected answers are how we find real answers the boards are missing.

Usage. Pages and screens you open, buttons you press (for example Share or All Access), your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address.

Session recordings. On cosmillion.com, PostHog may record what the page shows while you play (screens, taps, clicks and scrolling) so we can see where the game is confusing. Anything you type into a text box is hidden in these recordings.

This is collected with PostHog (hosted in the United States) and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Neither uses tracking cookies here. PostHog keeps a random ID in your browser's storage so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one; it is not linked to your name or email.

What stays on your device

Your streak, scores, logbook and settings are saved in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them.

Payments

All Access is sold by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. You pay on their checkout page; we never see your card details. When a payment goes through, Dodo tells us the payment and the email it was made with, so we can unlock All Access on your account.

Accounts (All Access only)

To buy All Access you sign in with Google, with an email and password, or with a link we email you. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase. We keep your email address and whether you own All Access, so it works on every device where you sign in. We do not use your email for marketing.

Sharing

Sharing is always your choice. A share contains your score, the coloured squares and a link; it does not contain your answers or anything about you.

Your choices

You can block analytics with any content blocker and the game works the same. To ask about or delete analytics data linked to your browser's ID, write to cosmillion@multimodelabs.com.

COSMILLION is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
